String Lake is a great place to visit for hiking and Kayaking. Only a short drive into Grand Teton National Park from our hotel in Jackson to get to Dornan's (the best place to hire a kayak).
Grand Teton National national park really is a beautiful place and our #1 when compared to Yellowstone and Glacier. The Teton mountain range over looking the Jackson Hole valley is visually stunning and there are loads of great activities, wildlife and things to see and do.

As a nice introduction to Grand Teton National park we decided to take a short hike around Phelps Lake. Phelps Lake is a quick 40 minute drive from Jackson and the loop trail is 1.8 miles.
Jackson is a quaint little town in Wyoming's Jackson Hole valley. Its central square has an impressive elk antler archway on each corner.

This guide is based on a mixture of our first hand experience of trekking the Classic Inca Trail plus useful advice from friends and other sites on the web. Our trek was organised by G Adventures and I would highly recommend them, everything about the trip was excellent, our guides, chef and porters were amazing. The Classic Inca Trail is a 4 day trek starting at Km82 and finishing at the Lost City if the Incas, Machu Picchu, at sunrise on the 4th day. The trek is rated moderate and any reasonably fit individual should be able to complete it. Having said that we found this to be one of the most physically challenging things we have ever done. This was mainly due to the Altitude, the highest point "Dead Womans Pass" is 4200m above sea level, the air is thinner at this height and makes breathing more difficult.
Five friends we met from travelling around the world, joined us on our trip in India. We decided to make a Bollywood dancing video, our skills and flamboyant moves astounded the locals and captured the true essence of our trip to India.
From steamy Kerala backwaters and spice plantations to incredible temples and searching for tigers in the wild, have your camera ready as you experience the highlights of Southern India. This 2-week adventure offers a great balance of guided excursions and free time to explore on your own. Travelling by train, bus, rickshaw, and country boats will bring you closer to the locals and is a fascinating way to gain insight into the peaceful backwaters of Kerala and stunning temples of Tamilnadu.
