TRIP REVIEW:

This was a very nice way to spend 4 days. Our Accommodation on South Molle island was rustic/basic and the resort was pretty much deserted, just us and the staff… we loved this.

There are some good hiking trails on the island which we enjoyed exploring.

The 2 included boat trips were good especially the day sailing on the Tsunami catamaran, great locations and the amazing Whitehaven beach.

WHAT WE LOVED:

  • Deserted Island Resort
  • Sailing
  • Beaches

WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER:

  • Nothing really to complain about

Book this package and stay at the great beachfront Adventure Island Resort, which embodies true island spirit. Here, you’ll be dazzled by the island’s beautiful National Park, alluring bays and secluded beaches, abundant native flora, mountain peaks with magnificent views and the very best walks of the Ngaro Sea Trail, Great Walk. The Resort is set in the very heart of all this beauty on a gorgeous palm clad beach and the bay itself is like a marine sanctuary with fringing reef coral creating a haven for fish, turtles and visiting dolphins. There are two wonderful restaurants you can pick from for a bite to eat and the resorts waterfall spa is a great stopover for some relax time. At night, chill out at the beachfront bar with a cold drink in hand and chat with fellow travellers from all over the world, before heading down to the resort parties for a bit of a boogie! Although I doubt you’ll have time for this, the resort has internet cards available to purchase if you need to catch up with twitter and also safety deposit envelopes are available at the reception for all your valuables.

If you’re up for sharing and want to make new friends, you can choose to stay in a cosy six bedded mixed dormitory, which is set in tropical gardens overlooking the Koala Adventure Island Golf Course.
Otherwise, choose from a classic garden view room or a relaxed and breezy ocean view room, with both offering either double or twin occupancy. Rooms are all equipped with en-suite bathroom, tea & coffee making facilities, television, air conditioning, a balcony or patio with great views and some rooms have a small fridge as well.

Day 1

Take off for a fun-filled adventure! Board the Whitsundays’ premier vessel ‘Seaflight’ from Abel Point Marina in Airlie Beach for a cruise out to the stunning Knuckle Reef Lagoon. This Lagoon is acclaimed as the region’s most spectacular reef site. Here, you will go diving, snorkelling and hit the waterslide on Queensland’s most innovative and spacious reef pontoon! After lots of fun, you’ll enjoy a delicious buffet lunch fit for a king. Rather than return to Airlie Beach in the afternoon you’ll be transferred to Adventure Island (South Molle Island).

Days 2 & 3

These two days bring yet more excitement! Sailing and the Whitsundays just go together – but not everyone wants to sleep on board a yacht. So here you are offered the alternative – go sailing each day and party and sleep on the Island each night. Take the chance to explore the magnificent Whitehaven Beach and the awesome Whitsunday Islands National Park on board a sailing catamaran. Swimming, snorkelling, beautiful beaches, gorgeous bays and a different route each day – get ready to have a blast!

Overnight at Adventure Island (South Molle Island) Lunch and Breakfast is included

Day 4

Today is a day to relax and take it all in. Enjoy a day at leisure on South Molle Island where you can get up to whatever you fancy. Explore the many walking tracks to take to the secluded beaches where you can beach bum and stare in awe at stunning views until sun down! Or perhaps you might just want to top up on your tan by the pool with cocktail in hand!

Day 5

Alas, its time to say ‘Adios’. Today is the last day of your awesome adventure so get your bags backed ready to head home. Ferries operate at a number of times back to Airlie Beach so if you are not in a hurry you can linger around on South Molle for as long as you like – a bonus day if you like! But be sure to check with reception to select your preferred departure time.
