On our way to the Fox glacier on New Zealand’s south island we stopped at the small town oh Hokitika, famed for its beach and the drift wood it attracts.

There is not a lot going on in Hokitika the streets were pretty deserted. The town has a few shops and quite a lot of small art studios etc.

Having quickly exhausted all the town had to offer it was off to the beach to play with drift wood.
